Excellence in Athletics Fund

The Excellence in Athletics Fund supports all initiatives within the entire USAFA athletics department, ensuring that our 27 intercollegiate programs have the resources to provide its coaches and cadet-athletes with the resources they need to succeed. Contributions to the Excellence in Athletics Fund are utilized by the Falcon Athletic Fund and AFAAC in four (4) primary areas:

  • Outstanding Leadership & Coaches: Air Force Athletics is committed to recruiting and retaining coaches who are eductors and role models, who understand the mission of USAFA and are effective in balancing the values of the Academy with their proven competitive success.
  • Cadet-Athletes: Our coaches are committed to recruiting a special caliber of cadet-athlete who will thrive in USAFA's rigorous environment.
  • Operational Support: Encompassing the broadest range of items, operational support covers those things that contribute to the creation and sustainment of a winning environment.
  • Facilities Enhancement: The Excellence in Athletics Fund provides preliminary private funding for projects and facilities enhancement that will benefit the entire Academy
